Intake help

I was wondering what you guys recomend for my car. I have slp lt running to lm1 exhaust. The only other mod I have is the D1sc. Which intake should I go with and what are some fairly cheap mods (if any) do you guys recomend.

What's it putting down and what are you trying to accomplish? Has it been dyno tuned? Auto or 6-speed? What premium octane gas is at the pump? How much boost are you running? Are you running the stock shortblock? Fill in the blanks

I am making 464hp 442 tq its a 6 speed it has been dyno tuned but I think it may need to be tuned again, it feels like its loading up sometimes I am on the stock bottom end so I am only running 8-9 psi. I would like to get a little more tq and keep it running like stock meaning the driveability (not loading up).

Which injectors and fuel pump? If you're on the stock fuel pump, then you're at its limit. Do you have an LS6 intake manifold? For $300 used, you can make more power.

I made 514rwhp through an auto converter unlocked with the LS6 intake manifold and a small 212/218 cam and Stage 1 853s on the stock bottom end.

464rwhp is good for a bolt-on + blower car. I wouldn't expect much more without the risk of going lean and killing #7. You can try some 6.0L heads to drop the compression to around 9.5:1 and up the boost to get more power, but like I said... you really don't want to risk everything... or do you??

thanks for the help. I have a racetronix fuel pump setup with a walbro 255 pump and 42#injectors. I still have the stock ls1 intake but I do have a 6.0 motor to rob heads from. I do wanna stay on the safe side I am not intrested in blowing the engine so any more help let me know what you think. also is it posible to get a tune that runs more like stock I am just wondering about my tune

The 6.0L heads (317 castings) would work better on that setup than the stock heads, due to the decreased compression. You can run more timing on the motor than with the stock heads and more boost.

With 42# injectors, the tune could be off if it feels like it's loading up with fuel. Other than that, the car should drive like stock. Honestly, you don't need 42# injectors for that power level... you only need 36# injectors max

It depends on how much more timing you are able to add to it. I don't think that 20rwhp is out of the question with the LS6 intake and more tuning.

Also, it depends on if you ran a smaller pulley

If you're looking to make the setup "safer", 6.0L heads aren't a bad route to go.

My buddy and I swapped out his stock 853s for a set of 6.0l heads then he upped the boost from 8ish to 10ish and gained quite a bit of power.
This is an Incon twin turbo set up on a stock 2000 Formula.
