intermitant rough idle, no ses or idle flucuation

just started doing this 2 days ago.

drove it 20 miles the nite before and it was fine, got up drove it 2 miles and parked, waited 30 minutes...started up and it began to idle rough. it was noticable by ear and in the shifter.

i pulled it around and parked it and it seemed to drive alright.

i drove it several times that day and it would go from PERFECT smooth idle to rough...then back to smooth

several times it would even run rough as i was driving...1500rpm in 5th.

i'm gonna check a few things. i've already put more gas in it, i plan to change the fuel filter, and i'm gonna check for intake and vacumn leaks...

any other ideas?

could a low battery cause this? like it's not getting enough energy to run the coils? how bout a busted mount....would a bad motor or tranny mount be so intermitant?

stillhave a feeling ti may be a bad battery

I don't think it is the battery. The fuel filter and vacuum isn't a bad idea to go with. Also, I would check your plugs and wires for corrosion or some other signs that they are going. If they are going, it would probably show if you drove it around, but they may be having problems nontheless. Check the coil, too.

I've got a little bit of a rough idle myself. It isn't really intermitten but it is worse when it is cold. I thought I might do a tune up this weekend (plugs, wires and fuel filter) to see if it cures it. I'll let you know.

i can't figure out why reseting the computer cured the problem?

i still think i'm gonna replace the battery...the green dot is non-existent.
