Talking Joining the Dark Side...

A few days ago, my 94 Z got nailed, and subsequently totalled. It still had another good 150k miles in it, but the world will never know...

Im in the market for an LS1. What the HELL should I be looking for? I passed one car over because, on meeting the previous owner, I found out about a replaced rear-end. Had the cash in my hand too.

Are there any quirks to the car to be aware of? Design flaws? (I had an opti, remember?) Anything of that nature?

Ive got my eye on a clean 99 Z/28 M6, but its a hair out of my price range. If nothing comes up before then, Ill splurge, but I need some basic info first. Thanks guys.

Talking

I asked that same question cause I moved from a 95 LT1 to a 2002 LS1. Basically there didnt seem to be any real trouble areas to worry about other than the monsoon speakers dying.

I decided to pay a little extra a month and go new so as not to inherit anyone elses issues.

Good luck in your search!

Ya, I crawled under the car, which annoyed the hell out of the salesman. It was a replacement 2.73-shod 10 bolt.

In my travels, Ive yet to test a car with anything except 2.73s...

They make my LT1 feel faster though...
