just bought a 02 z28

I am new to this forum. I just bought a 02 6 speed z28. I was just wondering if the 310 horsepower at the flywheel is accurate or if it is more? The person that owned the car before me put on a Borla T-304 Stainless Steel Cat-Back™ 3" Adj System what should the horsepower gains be. If anyone can answer it well be apreciated.

It's probably closer to 300 at the wheels with an exhaust. The LS1 motor was underrated from the factory in the F-body cars.

agreed...typical dyno results for that year and setup car are 290-310. some higher...some lower.

the exhaust should have given you about 10-12hp

The factory under-rated the 310HP at the crank. 345HP at the crank is more likely. I'd say your at about 360HP at the crank and 315HP at the tire. Get yourself a lid and add a few more HP.

Don't forget the free air mod as well as the lid. Stay away from aftermarket maf's and hand held programmers.
