Mark,
Don't ever be disappointed by dyno number comparisons.
Point in case....................check my sig.
I'll bet there are a lot of cars out there that dyno more than my measley 312hp that don't run the numbers that I do at the track!!!!
Dyno numbers are only good to compare your car before and after mods.
how repeatable are those numbers?

its kewl.. i was going to do it in blue
but just wanted to type less. red was shorter..

I often disect sigs.. i feel it helps new members and lurkers understand that some mods arent really mods.. just a way of spreading more information

If I were to go to the track again when the DA was -1300 I would run the same numbers. If it were 80°, 80 humid, and 29.9 baro I'd run 12.50s or there abouts. Weather conditions play a huge role in the making of HP at the track. Whereas dyno readings are corrected to a set of standards.
I go to the track a lot, 350+ passes in 3 years. (and that's on the origional 4L60E) And I document everything. I take a weather station with me. I can pull in, get the weather station out and tell you within a half of a tenth what I will run. Most days I run within a few hundredths of my dial.

Density Altitude is a calculated altitude.
I was at Stanton, MI alt ~700ft
temp 45°
humidity 50%
Baro 31.2

There's a guy in the drag race section with a bolt on LT1 that ran 11.s. The DA was -1900ft.

again that ties into my original statement that its better to compare locally.

I think you would not see times like that here.. even though we are near sea level.. http://www.houstonraceway.com is our local track..
