My car came with a K&N when I bought it. Then I bought the SLP ram air kit on sale that also came with a K&N filter. So now I have 2 K&N's.

I like my K&N, and I don't know if it outflows paper or not, but I don't have to buy a new filter, and I got mine for free It has never put oil on the MAF for me, and has always sealed well too. I think the difference with the K&N is that it will definetly outflow a paper filter when it is slightly dirty compared to a paper filter that is slighty dirty.

So does anybody want a brand new, never opened K&N filter? I'll sell it to you for $20 plus shipping.
