Larger Oil Filter for LS1's and the new truck engines.
Danm... if my LT1 buddies knew I was asking a question in the LS1 section, I'd be shamed!!
Anyway... is there a larger oil filter for the LS1 derived engines? I just got a new 5.3 Silverado Z71 and was wondering if you guyz have been using something different!?
FWIW I can get a 2 quart filter on Redbird but that is an apple and we are talking oranges here! THANX!

I use a Mobil M1-206 instead of the M1-107. It doesn't hold that much more oil since it's only maybe 1/2-1" taller. Due to the placement of the filter on the F-cars I wouldn't use a longer filter if one was available for fear of bottoming out on it.
Now, if you could relocate the filter...
