Lid Questions SLP,Whisper,Ect

Lid Questions SLP,Whisper,Ect
OK has anyone looked at the SLP lid and the whisper lid to see if one is bigger? I thought they where all the same. There is only so much space under the hood in the location of the lid to fit it. The lid also has to fit the bottom of the air box as well to form a seal. So what is the diff with all the Lids out there to buy? I got the SLP because of price. If you have any info on this let me know. If someone has a differant Lid and has looked at the two let me know. This is not just the diff of the SLP and Whisper Lids

I have heard that the DIRECT FLO air lid flows the best out of them all. i dont know if this answers your question or not.

From what I can tell, seeing other peoples lids and having my slp lid, etc, I would say they are all the same, are far as HP gain is concerned. The improvement from stock is so drastic any minute differences between lids is really insignificant. Take the bellows for instance, it shows no HP gain on the dyno, none, but people can argue all day the smooth bellows has to flow better than stock, I agree, and it probably does, but the improvement is so small it is hard to measure that's all. Same for the lids, they are all very good and will give an LS1 a huge improvement.
Now for my next mod I'm looking at the whisper cold air / ram air system, looks real good.

In this months GM Hightech Performance mag, there is an section on the SLP Bellow. I just read it yesterday and i dont remember if there was a Hp with just the bellow. but it make looking at it i can see how it should make some Hp. faster smoother air into the intake = more power.
