Red face Lost my wheels locks...what do I do?

Are the lugs going to have to be cut? Can I get replacements without the number from the dealer?

Just call the dealer. They can order you a new one. I don't know price, or part number.

Cool

If you don't want locks anymore, you can go to a tire shop and they can get the locks off easily. Then just get 4 new lugnuts and you're good to go.
Kevin

Edit:They have this little socket with teeth that can get the locking lugs off.

try looking w/your owners manual and stuff from when the car was new. the card might be in there.

if you cant find it, call me and I'll hook you up. I have a master set at work but they are not numbered. if I dont have the master lock, then I can get it off w/my tool (the one w/the teeth) and replace them w/some lugs or new locks. which ever you wanted to buy.
I work at BOB SELLERS Pont./GMC in farmington hills. (right off the xway where 275 meets 696)

Or, you can take them off yourself. All it requires is a 12 point socket slightly smaller than the lug, a hammer, short extension and breakover bar. I put a cheap 3" extension in the socket, and hammer it on the lig. Break it loose, and screw the lug most the way off. Then rock the extension to free it from the lug and finish taking it off by hand. Repeat 3 more time.

I doubt this would work on good aftermarket lugs, but I have removed 3 sets of GM ones over the years this way. It didn't even set off the stock alarm on my old '97 Z28.

Also you could try going to a local wheel shop and seeing if they have a similar nut that fits. I know it worked for me!
