The cutout makes it easier to set "Ricers" car alarms off in the parking lots

I wouldn't bother with the loudmouth, especially if you plan on getting headers in the future (it'll sound horrible with them.)

Good for you.

I (and many others) happen to think obnoxiously loud + lots of rasp = bad.

I always hear this from people and think it is the absolute stupidest comment I hear. I run LM and LT's and it mellowed out and is alot deeper than with manifolds. No rasp and really isnt too loud to get attention unless you're WOT at 4k.

I'm sorry, there's nothing "mellowed out" about the LM with LTs. That setup is raspy as hell. Have you heard any other aftermarket exhaust than your own?

People like different things, I understand that, but the sound of the LM and longtubes just isn't appealing to me. It sounds cheap.

Not an Ls1 but it may be helpful to you.

I also love the E-cutout idea

I have a borla exhaust with a DMH E-cutout. It only takes like 3 seconds to open the cutout. Click on my Sig and you will be able to hear the difference when the cutout is on and off. You will need to QUICKTIME to view.

I also did a write up here:

Thx,

Cutout. Loudmouth is a waste of money. Cutout does the same thing for less money more effectively. My car has Long Tubes, Off road pipe and a cutout. It is definetly the meanest sounding car in the area.
