I put adjustable KYBs on the front, but I feel the car has an extra bounce to it. I have it set to 8, so I don't know what the deal is. It's not like it bounces a lot, but I beleive it shouldn't have a bounce at all. Maybe the shocks aren't good enough.

I lowered the car (1999 Z28) by 2" with the original shocks.... no problem at all with the shocks, just the ground clearance.....I replaced the 2" springs with 1 1/4" and now everything is just fine...the shocks handle it perfect.....I did it in my garage by myself twice and my advise is : replace the springs, you don't want to do that job again after you're done the first time....I mean cutting first, then replacing.....

I have had nothing but problems with my car since the lowering. DONT DO IT!. Unless you live somewhere where the roads are all new and smooth. The car rattles, shakes, and sounds like an old clunker. But maybe I just did not have the car gods with me at the time.

Sorry to hear that. I live in Miami, but I don't have issues like you. I do drive mostly on the highway, so that may be a reason I don't. But when I'm on bumpy roads, I don't hear rattles or shakes. Maybe the springs showed up problems you had that you didn't know about. How low is your car? What springs? What shocks? A bad shock or a shock not on tight will make A LOT OF NOISE. I found that out the hard way. The best advice I can say to anyone going to lower their car is to change the front shocks. If you trying to save money keeping the stocks you will regret later on. Everyone I know has regretted not doing the shocks at the same time of lowering and I was one of them.
