Which LS...

I am debating between 2 possible ways of picking a 98-02 fbody. The tossup is should I get a reasonable milage car with minor mods for around 12500 or get a real high milage car for 5-6k and plan to place a z06 engine in it? looking for best dollar to hp ratio. Also, if any mechanics reading this could give me possible costs of doing the z06 swap. Also if someone has better ideas, let me know. Thanks

well the Z06 engnie is just some nwe heads, cam, and an ls6 intake... nothing too special... i would deffinatly get a low milage car and hook it up with some mods....

Re: Which LS...

agreed...

and for the record...its not swaping a zo6 motor...that's like saying "i'm gonna swap z28 engine"...it just sounds stupid.

it's an LS6 motor.

and they run probably $5-6K for the motor...all for 400hp at the crank. you could buy a reasonable mileage car and do intake, exhaust and a cam and be at 400hp at the wheels...for about $2000
