Sure you do...

I've not yet encountered any H/C/I cars in my area.
It's almost worth the drive. I, like you, have a stock bottom end, a 4L60 and a 10 bolt, ported stock casting heads, cammed with all the usual bolt-ons. I've gone 10s naturally aspirated. You'd be lucky to run high 11s.

They are BOTH "easy" to work on, but you have to admit the plug per cylinder configuration is easier to work on. Add that to the cam swap simplified by the lifter retainers under the spider and suddenly you are inching toward LS1 supremacy. Unfortunatly I do not own an LS1, so I cant talk $h!+ about LT1s, so I am forced to talk crap about LS1s. LS1s suck because I do not own one.

There. Debate settled, go back to 1998 and find another topic.

I love your assumptions. I'll let you know how she runs once the suspension is done and I button everything else up this coming spring. You obviously didn't see the post a couple days back of the LT1 that's trapping 120 and running mid 11's the first time out to the track with only LE1 heads and a CC306 cam. LE's "worst" offering on an "ancient overhyped" cam. I've got more than enough head flow for the job and the same cam. I know you're supposed to have low expectations for the track but I have no doubt I'll be running mid 11's N/A with all cheap/budget parts.
I love the hate though, makes me smile.

On a different note, I especially enjoyed one of the articles from this months GMHTP. For those of you who subscribe, it was the TT LT1. Thought they did a great job on this car. It it very close to the build I've been planning out to replace my current setup within the next 2 years. I was thinking of a single turbo 355 LT1 to break 600rwhp. These guys built a very nice, very clean 715rwhp twin turbo 355 LT1. I was looking for something to model my build after and this one had definitely given me inspiration. He's getting all of that power while only adding 5 cubic inches and running 14lbs of boost. Just thought I'd share that, thought it was a very good showing for such a small cube LT1. He wasn't running anything extreme anywhere on the car. Stock intake, no monoblade, stock pcm, pump gas, through the mufflers IIRC. Pretty cool if you ask me. Anyway, let the LT1vsLS1 brawl continue. Have a nice day.

Make sure it's the one with the White and Red 3rd gen on the cover. It says 'display til some date in 2010' so it might not be on the shelves yet.

It's a solid issue. They have a pretty cool turbo lsx syclone swap in there and a GN article as well.

Bench racing is when people say their car will beat your car based on the list of parts used, basically. Racing without actually racing. Using stat sheets, common results based on averages or sometimes just a load of their own bs to declare a winner of the race without it ever actually taking place.

Kind of like you claiming what your car will/should run, without actually running it?

And boasting about what other people ran, but not you?

I'm just saying that your car is similarly modded to mine, and that I'm curious to see this LT1 superiority.

LT1 superiority? I claimed that I had beaten stock, bolt on, and cammed ls cars. I never said I beat any H/C/I ls cars such as yours. In fact, I made a point in my post to declare that I hadn't encountered any. As far as my other statements go, I stated what I expect my car to run. Mid 11's is my goal. I'm spraying the rest of the way after that until I get my other engine finished (hopefully spring 2011). I never said anything about my car beating your car. It kind of sounds like you have a bit of a superiority complex and must exert your LS1 will on everyone. As soon as I said I beat bolt on and cammed LS cars, you immediately called BS because everyone knows LT1's can't beat LS1's under and circumstances. LS owners like to play the "mod for mod" game. Well that would be all fine and dandy if every LSX car was modded to the moon and back. Then sure, they would be able to beat just about every LTX car on the planet. But the reality is, a 10 second car is a 10 second car no matter how you get there. And a 10 second car is faster than 99.999% of LS1 and LT1 cars ever produced. Your car already beat mine in a bench race in your earlier post. Haven't you accomplished enough?
