LS1 Pushrod Warranty/Recall on Pushrods?
I did a search and couldn't find anything on a recall or warranty issue for this, but I could swear I remember reading somewhere that there was a big recall on the LS1 engines for a certain year or years for bent pushrods, practically right off the showroom floor...
My search showed that it is apparently extremely easy to bend the pushrods, but I have a friend who babies her '01 Trans Am and she only has like 20,000 miles on it and it's ticking like it's got loose rocker arms or bent pushrods. Her dealer is giving her the runaround and I'm probably going to go in there and bust his ***, but wanted to look for recalls to have in hand before I go in. This car has NOT been abused. (She won't let ME drive it! )
Was there ever a recall or warranty issue on the LS1 motors for pushrods?
Thanks,
Paul 'X'

nothing I know of. Pushrods have been bending since the dawn of the internal combustion engine. LOL They're $14 a piece, and take about an hour or two to fix yourself. Fawk a dealership.
