I dont have a sound clip because I just bought the car yesterday, but I already know I like the way my cut-out sounded better. It's pretty loud though...I think I'm gonna take the mufflers off and just run straight pipes.

I live in Corpus and there aren't that many performance shops around, but the ones I have gone to say it imposible to do true duel, I want to get some long tube headers with x or H pipe, does any one have any picks of the under side of your car will duels, now I have edelbrock shorty headers no cats Y-pipe and a cut, its loud Its got an airy sound that I really can't explain, looking for something new.

You may want to look for a muffler shop/garage instead of a performance shop. They would have all the piping and tools to install true duals (if that's what you wanted to do).

Here's a pic of Ken Mook's (moderator) '97 SS --- fine that it's an LT1, but really what's the difference, right?? I posted a similar thread a couple months ago and got decent response --- it's too bad though, cause someone e-mailed me a link to their site that showed an LS1 T/A with true duals - from the front right out the back of the car, but I lost the link.

IMO, there's no reason you can't install duals on an LS1 - just that there aren't a lot of people who do.

that is exactlly what I want to hook my car up with, what kind of headers are those, short-mid-long? How does it sound with the bullet mufflers compared to a cutout? Awsome

Here is a clip of a true dual setup on an LS1 car, and i think it sounds BAAADDD it's the same setup i'm going with. I got a guy that sells these kits for cheapppp, all you need is a welder, or any exhaust shop. If you are interested, i can give you some details, just email me.

when you say "here is a clip" you should remember to post a link to it.
