LS6 on 2000,

Im gonna replace the stock intake to get rid of the egr system, it wont seal goin into the intake and throws codes and i have o jiggle it to idle right occasionally, ive tried a few different things and decided to go with a different intake sooner than expected. My question is what will the computer do when you remove the egr system and increase air flow? Will i have no problems OR will i have to take it to someone that can change my computer like ls1edit at dynoshops? And is holleys ported aluminum intake any better? Nick

You will get codes from deleting the EGR and will need to do some ls1_editing to get rid of it. There are lots of horror stories out there on the Holley intake.

The SLP LS6 intake has an EGR provision with a threaded interface and compression fitting that would probably eliminate the problem you are describing. The EGR oring seal can be finiky especially if you did the EGR tube mod.
