ls6 manifold swap, what all do I need?

Ok im planing on doing the ls6 manifold swap on my 1999 Z28. What all do I need to buy? I have no Emmisions on my Car. Obviously the Manifold, and I think I heard something about coolant lines? any help would be appreciated. Thanks

P.s I have heard of this giving like 15-40 hp at the wheels, 15 sounds realistic, anyone dyno there cars after the swap?

You need the GM coolant tubes and thats all. Its a crossover tube and two blocking plate type things.. We sell them or you can get them from a dealer... Make sure the seals are good on the manifold that your putting on and your set...

1 you need 8 gaskets unless your old ones are good.
2 you need the coolant lines to reroute them around the intake unless you grind down the ribs under the intake. that would save yourself 50.00. thats what i'm gonna do.
3 block off plates for your egr unless you dont have the hookups. i think thats what you said you didnt have.
good luck, i'll be doing mine soon

on a bolt on car i'd say 7-10rwhp is about average

on a cammed or h/c setup...you could see upwards of 15-20 i suppose, but not over that i dont think.

There still won't be room and you take the chance of wrecking the intake. Just buy the coolant tubes.

what do you mean their wont be room. i'v seen it done and i know people who have done it
the only way your gonna wreck the intake is if you grind past the ribs and into the intake. if you know what your doing you will not ruin the intake

As far as HP dont expect much. I gained .06 seconds in the 1/4 mile. hardly worth the 300 bucks.

one week apart. almost identical weather. My car is very consistent being mostly stock. It should help out with the heads/cam setup going on next week though. ymmv

well crap if all im gonna get is .10 secs and like 5 rwhp screw that. Im just kind of at the turning point for the car per say, I can start bolting on all the rest of the aftermarket crap like pulleys, intake etc and spend 1500 + or just not mod for about a year and save up for some heads and cam. I just cant see my self not doing anything to my car for that long I guess I could work on some suspension stuff in the meen time?

Any sugestion on the best route to take?
