M6 shifting guidlines

I really enjoyed the M6 vs A4 thread and kudos to darrens99formul for a great pros and cons post. After reading about a stock M6's ability to beat a stock A4 on the 1/4 mile as long as the driver is a pro at shifting. I thought I would create a new thread an ask the advice of all of the pro M6 drivers for advice on shifting for daily driving as well as on the track. Just how can one become a "Pro". Really, I know this sounds like a silly question, but I just bought my '02 Z28 with an M6 after driving an auto for 10 years. I love the "fun aspects", but I feel my shifting is still weak. Actually I am still getting burned at the light. Yeah I can get the car going, but I want to know how to get the car "really" moving. I haven't yet hit the track since I am new to all of this, but I plan to start next year. I would love to hear the advice of the many M6 shifters out there. I miss having an auto for the convienience of daily driving and also to lose the ability to have a TC installed, but I still love having a stick.
