On an LS1, 400 rwhp can be had through the following:

Stage 1 heads and cam
Headers & Y pipe
Exhaust cut-out
Lid
Fast Toys Ram Air
Ported MAF
Pulleys
all the free mods
Dyno tune

Then buy a clutch.

Thumbs up

Stage 1 Heads
216/220 .525/.532 Cam
Hooker 2253 Long Tube Headers
True dual free flow exhaust with an X-pipe (It's going to be really, really loud)
New Rocker arms, pushrods, and lifters
Ported trottle body
Custom Programming

And diffently and new clutch

Best friend has the exact set up and is putting 402 RWHP. Of course after a Dyno Tune.

Thanks for the input so far. If you can put an estimate on what costs are involved.

if you look to the left, there is a small link called "vendor index" (they shoudl really make that a bit bigger)

call one of em up and they'd be happy to talk to you and give estimates..

IMHO, my personal fav vendors on this board are, Agostina Racing Engines(ARE), Thunder Racing, and TByrne.. I've been very happy with Thunder and TByrne, and if I had the cash to do some seriuos engine work, I'd goto ARE...

Mods? I think it would be easyer for me just to list the things that aren't changed in the car.

Assembled here in the USA. No thinking required.

Cool

Our last G5 heads/cam LS1 left with 420 HP at the wheels. Our heads/cam package is $3895, and that includes the G5 camshaft, fully-assembled ported LS1 heads, your choice of Manley or Comp valvesprings, titanium retainers, all gaskets, custom computer tuning, etc. The 420 RWHP mentioned above is with all of the normal bolt-ons, too. (FLP headers, induction lid, cat-back, etc.) If you would like to have it installed at our shop, you would be looking at $1,350 in labor.

Feel free to give me a call or e-mail me if you would like more information on the kit.

Sorry, I should have elaborated. I was referring to the 420 RWHP dyno graph. With any heads/cam package, we will always dyno the car after it is installed. We will also dyno before the install if the customer requests it for no additional charge. The cam is a split-duration 224/230. It's making excellent power for us and is still really nice to drive around. It's not just the HP that makes our package great; it's also the mid-range torque. Our package will provide you with some nice torque that will be great for not only daily driving but for racing. We do have our smaller G2 camshaft that is a 222/226 @ .050" lift. You can expect another 10 RWHP or so with the G5 cam, though.
