MS3 vs. FM 15

i'm fixing to upgrade and buy an ls1 powered camaro. i was wanting to put in a cam as one of the first major upgrade. i have a choice of going with the MS3 237/242 .603/.609 112 LSA 2300-6800 RPMs. see i like this cam but someone has it here in my small town already. i wanted something around the same but that might pull out in front of it without being way bigger in specs. i was looking at the FM F15. it's a 236/239 .600/.611 111 LSA. 3500-7200 RPM's. see the car i'm looking at is a six speed. his is an auto with heads i think a with a higher stall. let me know what you guys think.

if he has the MS...and heads...you're gonna have to have one STRONG running car to match it. even though his will eat alot of power with the auto and stall...it will be a wicked car.

either cam should work fine. just make sure you have the supporting mods to back it up...especially clutch and tires

yeah he's going with ls6 ported heads and ms3. we do flat out drag racing. none of this 40 roll ons and stuff like that. it's just from a dig everytime.

I had great results with the Futral F15 cam, however, the cam isn't for everyone. It's got ALOT of lope with not much low-end below 4000 rpm, but where it really shines is around 4400+. You're going to have to launch your car hard with any cam that size, so getting a 12-bolt is a no-brainer if you're doing any kind of drag racing with a 6-speed car. It's a nice cam that makes high-rpm power and should make 420+ rwhp with all supporting mods and a good dyno tune.

Here's a couple old vids:

Think complete set up, not just heads and cam.

He has a stalled A4. You'll be hard pressed to get him out of the hole. What rubber is n the rear of both cars?

As just stated, your going to need a good setup. It's going to have to have it all if you want to keep with the that other car. Another problem with keeping up with his car is going to be your launch. So after you get the motor squared away get the suspension dialed in. good luck
