my EBC pads wore out after only 13K? any others?
i had new greenstuff EBC pads and EBC dimpled/slotted rotors professionally installed last october....the front pads were completely worn down yesterday!
granted, i went to 3 road course events and 1 autox, but still, wouldn't you expect more than just THAT, and 13k road miles?
i had performance friction c. metalics before...think i'll be going back to them......
or am i missing something? do EBC's just normally wear out that fast?

13K miles
3 excursions to a raod course
and an AX event
What did you expect?
See all that dust on your wheels? That is brake pad.
A good performing brake pad is gonna bite hard, stop good, take the heat generated and wear out fast. It's the nature of physics.
Going to a regular street pad will degrade performance, not bite near as hard, take longer to stop the car, glaze because of the heat generated, but last a lot longer.
I guess you need to decide what your needs really are.
Most folks, who do what you do, have a set of street pads and rotors and a set of race day pads and rotors. Swapping becomes part of the routine prep for the track and then the street.

Take a look at Raybestos ceramic pads. (CarQuest ceramic pads are made by Raybestos, too)
They ran me $150 for a 4-wheel set and have a lifetime warranty. When they wear out, I get new ones for free.
