Nasty noise from rear suspension
don't really know how to describe it except for a very defined, extremely bothersome creeking/squeeking coming from the back suspension whenever the weight of the car shifts... on acceleration, the little jump after you come to a complete stop... cracks in the road etc....
checked the rear hatch... definatly not the problem.
common thing? easy solution?
please say yes to both
bad enough where i need to keep the stereo on to keep from getting angry
thanks

Re: Nasty noise from rear suspension
checked the tire and tool.... very tight and secure... not the problem
*because i occasionally like to hear the exhaust
its definatly (sp?) a spring-like creeking/squeeking almost sounds like someone moven around above you in an old wore-out spring bunkbed.
and i can make it do it, audible from outside the car just by quick pushing up and down on the bumper..
can i spray lube on the connections or something? would that help at all... it didn't do it at all first 2 days i had it... then all of a sudden its doing it ALL the time

You probably just need to lube those two bushings under your axle. They are the ones that the rear sway bar passes through. Worked for me. Use a good synthetic grease. Regular grease will just wash out.

mine makes that same noise. i agree check the bushings. mine squeeks at the sway bar bushing. i'm just too lazy to lube it. besides you cannot really hear it over the exhausr.
