Need Help, Header Question?

I did a search and could not find a answer to this question: I have an 02 SS
M6 and want to put some Pacesetter LT's on it but, I do not know which ones to order. I quess you can get them with or without Emissions fittings. I am not sure which ones to get. Can anyone help me out and tell me which ones need to go on my car.. Thanks....

Re: Need Help, Header Question?

Well if you want to do away with your air pump system, you should get the offroad or non emission headers. If you would like you keep your air pump, then you would want the headers with the air pump fittings. You car does not come with an EGR valve so you dont have to worry about that. If your state or county requires a visual test for your emission inspection then you might want to get the headers with the air pump fittings. If your going to get the offroad headers, its a good time to remove the entire air pump system so you can gain some underhood room.

its pretty straight forward...

do you want to keep emissions

or do you want to get ride of the emissions?

you will throw a code if you remove it, but it will have no affect on the running condition of the car. you'll have to have it tuned out eventually.
