ls1 k-member and th400 crossmember would be a good start. You can get them aftermarket (like BMR).

Any f-body LS1 longtubes should work.

You know those don't bolt in, right? Not even a little.

How are you going to address the differences in the axle housing lengths? Are you going to ditch the pan hard and run an upper/lower setup like a stang? I am just interested, since I never heard of this swap before.

the 8.8 hybrid has been done several times. you take the 8.8 chunk and weld on the 10bolt axle tubes, have new axles made, weld up the TA mount and you are good to go, granted that is a way over simplified explanation but that is the cliff notes version.

I will be more than happy to sale you the spohn LSx K-member if you want to go tubular and loose weight. also if you want/need the crossmembers and such that are needed as well.

stock gauge cluster will not work so you will need aftermarket gauages.
be prepared to do alot of wiring.

Th400 will 'bolt up' to the LS2, minus a couple of bolts, you will either need a TC built for the LS style crank or run a "regular" TH400 TC and get a crank spacer.

There are some other little things but it can be done.
