need opinion please
I found a 2002 35th aniversary addition Z28 for a good price. My 94' Z28 is in outstanding shape; what's your opinion of trading my car for the 35th aniversay addition?
I've got all the BMR chassis upgrades to my 94' as well as a custom CAI, and LS1 brake conversion, Borla Y-pipe and new muffler.
It's the same color, and other than leather...it looks like most of the same options.
I've just kinda always wanted a 35th aniversary addition car.
Ya think it's worth getting rid of my current ride for the newer ride?
Thanks for your opinions.

thought about that also...I've just kinda wanted a 35th edition and this "presented" itself.

well i don't know what all you've done to yours, but if you can get a good deal on it, i'd go for it. I mean, 11 year old car vs 3 year old car.... less stuff breaks.
Again, dunno what's under your hood.

If you have your stock suspension, you can transfer the BMR over to the 2002
A couple engine mods would transfer to an LS1, but I don't think a whole lot of them will
It really depends on what you want. Sounds like if you got the '02 you would want to keep it pretty stock as more of a show car, and it sounds like you like to mod the '94. I guess decide if you'd rather mod and race a car, or keep it clean and show it. Unless of course you want to mod the '02, in that case go for it

I traded my 1995 LT1 for my 2002 but I got it new in 2002... I havent regretted it one iota...
I have no desire to mod.. Perhaps its all about what you have to see daily that makes some want to mod.. Most of my friends are 9 sec cars so what would modding get me other than a car always breaking down and still not winning..
On the other hand, I can race any of them across the country and feel I have a chance as mine has been rock solid for 61K miles now..

I agree with psycocabbage. I bought as '02 SS M6 new, and sold my '96 Z A4 privately. I would do it again in a heartbeat. The '02 has been much more reliable, (and faster) and it's my daily driver. I'm not interested in collecting timeslips with it. It's good to have the last of the best. There won't be a 36th Anni model.

I called back later in the afternoon to have them fax it to me, but again, they never did...maybe there is something wrong with the car they didn't want me to find out about...hmmmm.
You can just as easily go to carfax.com w/ the VIN and spend the $20 something dollars to see for yourself, if it's worth it to you. However, if I was in your situation, I would see what kind of strings I could pull to keep the ole' Z and spring for the 35th.

Re: need opinion please
I never wanted to trade, but they kept trying to get me to trade.
One question: The ONLY 35th badge on this car was a small dash plaque...thats it. I thought all the 35th cars has the seats embroidered, 35th floormats, special graphics, special wheels, and I'm not sure, but were all the 35th cars SSs...or did the legitimately do a 35th Z28?
After I got home and started thinking about it...it kinda looked like someone just put a 35th badge on a normal 2002 Z28. The car was nice...but I'm not entirely convinced it was a legitimate 35th aniversary car.

Re: need opinion please
That's all you are going to find is the dash plaque with the 35th anniversary logo for a Z28. Now the SS on the other hand is a differnet story for the special edition. That has the all the embroidery, graphics, floor mats, etc. But you still get some of the LS6 goodies under the hood.
