OK GUYS, I HAVE 8000 BUCKS TO SPEND. I WANTED A 98 FBODY FOR THE LS1 ENGINE, AND TO HAVE A NEWER NICE CAR, AND I HAVE BEEN LOOKING QUITE A BIT FOR ONE. NOW, TO THROW A MONDEY WRENCH IN MY PLANS, THE CAR LOT I WORK AT HAS A 94 Z28 THAT WAS BROUGHT IN ON A REPO. SO FAR IT NEEDS A DOOR PANEL, A FRONT FENDER, AND MISC. BODY WORK AND NEW PAINT. IT HAS 98K ON IT. THE COOL PART IS THAT I CAN GET THE CAR FOR 1000 BUCKS!!! SHOULD I GET A NEWER F BODY (1998 OR UP) ? OR SHOULD I GET THIS TURD Z28 AND MAKE IT A MONSTER WITH THE OTHER 7000? IT IS AND A4 WITH NO T TOPS (WOULD MAKE A SWEET DRAG CAR) GIVE ME YOUR OPINIONS PLEASE.

 

Ohh.. that is a tough one. I think if I were you I would try to find out exactly how much it would take to get the car back in a good looking condition. Then see how much money you would have left. The LT1 is a great motor so you could make a hell of a beast out of it with a few grand. Just my .02

Your best bet if you have room, is to buy the car for $1000, then part it out to people.. the motor alone is worth that with everything connected..

then you have the stock rear and other parts.. and the tranny should fetch a decent amount.. trash what you cant sell and soon you should be at $10,000 and go buy yourself a new Z28 with really low payments!

 

For that price BUY THE CAR!!! No matter what you do you will be coming out ahead!

 

Buy the car for $1000! Drive it around , save some more money, find the LS1 car u want, at least u have a Z for now.
