Need to upgrade Clutch

Recently, I have felt my clutch hasn't been hooking up 100% through the gears. With the added HP i'll be getting with my cam/pulley/iLS6 intake manifold install and tuned early June, I have a feeling it's not going to last much longer. Don't know which clutch will work best with my setup. Which should be in the 385-400 RWHP range. Any recommendations on good streetable clutches that can handle that kind of power?

Re: Need to upgrade Clutch

my Spec 4 is great on the street.

even brand new it had almost no clutch chatter and now tht it's breaking in there is even less.

although i've heard it's not a good clutch for city traffic, when it heats up it gets really grabby.

the Spec 3 would probably do you fine.

Yea, I never do any city driving. I think the Spec 3 will be a good choice for the street, that or maybe the Z06 clutch. Also what about the flywheel, should I get a kit that includes everything including the flywheel. Thanks for the help, I need to order one today, so that it will be installed before the cam.

Re: Need to upgrade Clutch

Just ordered the Spec Star Clutch Kit Stage 3 w/ flywheel LS1. It includes the LS1 Star Clutch, billet steel flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and alignment tool. Is there any thing else I going to need for the install, such as new adjustable master cylinder for an 00 Z28.

i'm pretty sure the 00 still benefit from the upgraded slave cylinder.

something about the older ones was inaddequate. they are around $140 from any of the site sponsors.
