Newbie: stroker question
#2
A stroker is a block used with a bigger stroke than originally designed... Or so...
its like the 350, 383, 396, 409, are strokers of the 327 or 302.
For instance the 350 uses a 3.48" stroke in the case of the lt1 and a 383 uses a 3.75", a 396 uses 3.85" and a 409 uses 4".
In the case for the ls1 the stroke is 3.62" for the 350 and 3.905" bore with a 4.00" stroke for the 383"
Keep in mind that the more stroke the more piston speed and the slower it will rev but more torque it will have at lower rpms
