Thumbs up Next gen F-body (If you had your say so)

If you could design the next gen camaro from the f body what would you change, add or take away. The goal is to set the price around 35-38k and keep it as a reliable daily driver.
It would be nice to get it to around stock 400 hp.

I know the first thing EVERYONE would add is kill the skip sh#t I mean skip shift. LTs and a REAL rear end...

Thumbs up

That 500 HP camless engine I've herd rumors of. I don't know what that would do to the price (probably wayway up) but DAMN that would be sweet!

I heard about it too. It was a design for a 6.0 L DOHC, i think like the one in the trucks. I guess it's time to go over head cam and fallow the band wagon. It does have less meving parts so why not. As long as they don't put a 4.6 L I am happy.

it would have a 12 bolt, a real clutch, true dual exhaust like the mustangs, no hump on the passenger side floor and maybe drop a few hundred pounds. and i would love to see that camless 500hp. motor in there, i think it would probably be better on fuel being that the computer would always be changing the valve timing, that is the engine of the future.

and faster electric windows!!!!!

Besides the obvious stuff......Four easily accessible points to strap the car down on a trailer and a telescoping steering wheel....shouldn't this be in 5th gen discussion?

Start with a true dual exhaust. And give the car a $500 stripes package option (Red w/black stripes, white/w hugger orange, black w/silver, ect). I think the best looking camaros have always come with those slick looking stripes (69, 70, 92, 97, 02 models). I like the wedge shape of the 4th gen camaro, but for a 5th gen I'd like them to use some styling q's from the first gen. Maybe go back to the original Z28 badging.
As for the camaro lineup keep the base v6 and an LS1 350 Z28, but produce the SS as a special edition with a higher displacement engine that'll blow the doors off the 02' cobra. Numbers-wise right now the camaro Z28 and SS are too much the same. Just my .02

I will agree the SS should be the heavy barrel of the z28s and should produce a bit more performance than the Z28. I will admit that the LS1 with the lid is a BEAUTIFUL machine and the police really admire them LOL. I never thought of really having them come lighter but loosing a few pounds sounds like a good idea.
Could you imagine test driving one with 500rwhp off the lot. I could never bring that car back...EVER. I would not even get out of the car, all they would have to do is bring the papers to the car because the deal would be done.
Let me stop I'm getting carried away. But I know you all feel me.

Like i said before, for the SS that would be cool if they could make a fuel injected 427, that motor is sweet ***!! and it lastest for ever cause its such a great motor!!
