no muffler vs. a cutout

no muffler vs. a cutout
I bought my car and it had a Magnaflow catback on it. Way too quiet for my tastes. So I had an electric cutout installed, which proceeded to break. So I capped the exhaust for the past year because the cutout was too loud for the interstate(it dumped under the rear seat). Not to mention all the unpleasent interior rattles. And it was stripping paint off the back floorboard with those hot fumes.
Today I went to the exhaust shop, had them hack the cutout off, weld in more pipe. Then they cut the magnaflow muffler and tips off and welded in a straight piece of pipe, dumping at the rear bumper
Now I get the noise and sound I love, and it isn't too loud on the highway(it still drones, but I can live with it now). Not to mention a weight savings of ~20lbs. I should have done this a long time ago.
BTW, anybody want a Magnaflow muffler? I'll throw in the polished tips too, for the right price

Re: no muffler vs. a cutout
The cutout was a DMH brand. The new one they sent me under warranty was a new design on the electric motor, so that tells me they had problems with the electric motor on the one they sent me orginally. I sold the new one on Ebay because I didn't want anymore problems with it.
The tips are chrome 3.5" round, with a slash cut. I don't think you'd want them because they have some scratches and are stained black on the tips. By the time you pay shipping, you could have bought new ones(they were only $20 a piece).

Sounds like an SLP Loudmouth to me, which is pretty much straight pipe after the cats. Granted they have a "resonator" in the I-pipe, but believe me when I say it doesn't do much to silence the exhaust.
