I've got a 94 Z. When I run it in the 1/8 mile it hits the rev limiter before it shifts to 3rd or about the last 30yrds of the race so I only see 77-78 MPH. But I have a good 60 time of .219 I baby it off the line a little due to the street tires. I can only get it to shift in to 3rd if back off a hair on the pedal. I think I could hit over 80 MPH if it would go into 3rd under full thottle. Any suggestions?

 

I am having problems with my rev limiter as well. I have a 99 ls1 with 3.42 gears and have not adjusted my shift points with the hypertech, only changed the gear ratio and If I have it in drive and floor it it hits the rev limiter between the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Should I adjust the shift points negatively?

Will someone post their shift points for a 3.42?

Ok, ive had time to try all this out. Double pressing the pedal is the dumbest thing i ever heard(tried)... And the rev limiter i always gonna suck, but it will save your engine in 'most cases'.. Ive had my rev limiter set at 6400 and have tap danced all over it... I can manally shift it and i usually get stuck in 3rd becaus i cant get the rpms to drop.. I usualyl have enough dstance made beween me and my opponant to shut down and call it a win anyway... And i have my auto shifts set where on nitrous it only taps my rev limiter goin from 1-2, 2-3 and its
been fine..
