I don't have a LS1, but I pay right at $1000 for 6 months for a 97 Z28. The policy is through American Mercury. I am 25, No tickets or accidents. I figure insurance would be about the same for a LT1 or LS1.

I'm paying $1400 a year, I think?

They just take it straight from my checking.

Hopefully it will go down next month when hit 25 and for having a clean record.

I'm 25 and I pay $570 every 6 months with Country Companies.
It rules when you turn 25 and those rates drop... I was paying $885 every 6 months before my 25th birthday.

25, clean record, I pay $545/ 6 mos for a 2000 Z28. Not all insurance companies drop rates dramatically at 25 yrs old. when I was 24, i paid $584/ 6 mos. I have a junker car as a daily driver and list my Camaro as "pleasure". It would be much more for me to insure the camaro alone.

Well since I wrecked my 95 Camaro I have one wreck on my record now but I am also buying a house and going to have multiple cars on the policy so the insurance for my SS is going to be 900 every 6 months starting end of Jan. But I figure it will go down when I turn 25 in a few months. My girlfriend only has liability on her car (96 Camry) and she is only going to be paying 113 every 6 months.. Oh well.. I will pay the extra to have my car..

I'm 27, single, with a clean record and I pay $954 a year for both of my vehicles: '97 Saturn SC2 & '98 SS. That's full coverage with double stacked on the Camaro.

My insurance cut in half when I turned 25.

Well, I'm still 20, but I turn 21 in 3 weeks?! (close enough! ).

I pay $3450/year for the '02 Z28, but that's with 2 speeding tickets within the last 2-3 years, and that's in Canadian dollars. My insurance is through MIC (Motors Insurance Company) and for anyone else in Canada (I'm not sure if they cover the States? ) as long as you don't have any accidents on your record (that are your fault), MIC is probably the cheapest insurance you'll find..........................my old company wanted $8992/year for me on the Z28, so I was like F### THAT!!! Yeah, so $3400 didn't seem so bad!
