i found a 98 camaro and it has SS hood side emblems ZR1 rims.I was wondering if the vin can tell me if its a SS? Here the VIN 2G1FP22G7W2133785 its Red has t-tops and 6speed. Thanks i hope u guys can help.

 

Call SLP and give them the VIN. They will tell you.

 

Slp should be able to tell, but if you can look inside the drivers door I think a code of wu8 should be their if it is an SS.

 

It is definitely an SS.

The VIN search indicates the WU8 SS code
It's a Bright Red M6 with T-Tops, Leather, Tract Control, Cassette & Disc Changer.

Build date is 3/4/98

you can also run the vin thru any gm dealer..... i did
