Prices on Installation

Re: Prices on Installation
Yeah, I too think that LS6 install price is too steep, I've never done it, but it doesn't seem too involved.
The SFC install price seems reasonable, just make sure the guy knows what he's doing, because this is a very important installation that needs to be done correctly. My install was $160 and they're in there just about as perfect as they can possibly be.

Re: Prices on Installation
well i went down there and they charged me 70 for my sfcs; the company is az power and sound and the guy that was selling the intake was trying to sell it for 400 to me, he was being a douche since i am a 17 yr old and i think he didnt realize that ti knew they were 400 dollars new... amazing, i hate people like that. i guess i will try to find a different shop down here in az after this

Re: Prices on Installation
$70 for the SFC's isn't bad - get a new intake and do it yourself. Helped a friend do his and it's not that hard, neither of us had done it before. We used the guide at ls1howto.com

Took us just over 4 hours, taking our time; a buddy will defeintely help. Look over that guide and see if you want to try it - definitely save you some $, and you'll learn alot, even if it takes two days to get it done.

Re: Prices on Installation
Take a look on corvetteforum.com for a used intake. Don't know if there are any on there right now, but the guys selling stock parts off their cars usually sell them pretty cheap. Good luck.
