Post QA1 shocks

Anybody got these on their car? I'm looking at replacing the shocks and springs on my 02 Z28 and was wondering if anyone had any experience with these. If not QA1s then what do you all recommend?

Depends upon what you're using the car for? The QA1s(HALs) are primairly a drag racing shock. They are an improvement over stock though, as far as street and road handling.

If you're doing a lot of drag racing - say 20-40 passes a month - and only occasional street driving, then the QA1s are a good choice.

If you only go to the track on occasion, you may want to consider the KYB AGXs. Their tunabilty in the rear is nearly as good as the QA1s and for a lot less, with better street and road manners.

If handling is your main concern go for the Bilstiens or if your're really hardcore look into the Konis.

The SLP Bilstiens are always a good all round compromise choice.

Good Luck

Thanks for the reply. The car is a daily driver and will probably not see that much time on the drag strip. I'm looking for better handling than what I've got on the car now, but at the same time I don't want it to be so stiff that it rattles your teeth when you drive.

The SLP Bilstiens would probably be a good choice for you then. A little stiffer than stock, but not teeth rattling stiff. I've never run into anyone who was displeased with them on a street car.

Good Luck
