Your best bet is to call his insurance agent. He would qualify for multi-car discount. Too many factors to try and guess from one state to another state. Even within the same state, the factors surrounding insurance mystifies us lesser folks. Factors include: Area living in, miles driven, previous accidents, previous tickets, and now even your credit rating.

I am paying about $200 per month for insurance in Michigan.

Lapeer is right. Awful hard to guess from state to state. I am 28 and live in TN with no marks on my record, YET!! Pay $678 every 6 months with State Farm for full coverage on my 2000 SS with all the little discounts for multi line and such. Still outrageous in my opinion.

I don't know how much this is gonna help, but I'm 18 in jersey. When I had my Mustang V6 it was $230 a month, Now it is $275 a month for a 2002 Trans Am... For such different cars the price jump wasn't too bad.

whaaa.. i live in the suburbs of Oregon, 23, relatively clean record... $3000 a year full converage!!

In NJ it was even worse.. In Baltimore, it was a joke, not even remotely worth it, hence i didn't drive.

But again, it really varies between states, age, cities, etc..

It varies. Your insurance premiums could be anywhere between $1,000-$5,000 a year. If you have no driving convictions, moving violations, or the like, then your premiums will be lower than average. And if you are under someone else's insurance policy it will also drop. Your age is a BIG factor in the insurance companies decision on your premium, regardless of the persons age that you are going to be under.

Exclamation

Most of you guys are lucky,

I'm 23 and the insurance on my ride is about $1100 every 6 months thats with a lot of coverage though. It was sad when I moved my insurance from Houston to San Marcos it was cheaper to insure a Z28 here than it was a V6 in Houston. So that shows how much it varies only real way to find out is to call your agent for a quote. (100,000/50,000 coverage I believe)

insurance

there are way too many variables to try to get a good etimate. I'd say call as many insurance companies as possible to try to get the best deal. Your quote will depend on where the car is garaged, yearly mileage, and your driving record. So tell them you're only gonna put 6k mi. per yr on it, and opt for a high deductable (1000 or 1500). This should get you reasonable mo. pymts.

Here's what I'm paying for full coverage, I'm 29 with one at fault accident: $861/ 6mo. (pasadena)

I was paying $985/6mo. to insure an 00 Corolla CE with the same deductable before I got the Camaro in Aug. ( I was shocked it went down )

a year ago when I lived in L.A. I was paying $1485/6mo (bad Zip code and more commuter miles)

I have a 99 Trans Am and I live in Ct. It all depends on how you list the vehicle. My car is primary use and I pay $540 every 6 months.Im 33 yrs old and have a clean driving record. If you have more than one car youll probably get a discount.Do some shopping around first.
