Quick Question, I Need Help!!!!

I have a chance to get some heads off a 2002 Z28. I have a 99 LS1, he says the '02's are LS1 heads but I thought in '01 all the z28's and SS's only got the LS6? Is there a way to tell? The reason I'm in a hurry is they are CHEAP, and I need to jump on them if they are LS6 heads cause if I'm not mistaken they are better heads. Help me out guys!!!!!

Re: Quick Question, I Need Help!!!!

As cores they are worth that but they are not ls6 heads. I can't remember if there is much of or any of a difference from 99 to 02. better to spend the money on a ls6 intake. It would make more of a difference and alot easier to change.

Re: Quick Question, I Need Help!!!!

I decided to wait, my car only has 67k on it, I don't think the heads are going anywhere. And if and when I do replace them I want some AFR's.

Thanks for the help guys.........

I have an '01 that has the LS6 intake as well. I love it. Even though its composite.

LS1 intake is composite as well. Nothing wrong with a composite intake unless you like heat soak.
