QUICK ?, will it hurt to drive w/ MAF unplugged?

My car is missing horribly with it plugged up, but runs fine with it unplagged. Will it hurt to drive a few days until I get a new one, with it unplagged? What effect does this have on the car?? Thanks

It should drive alright but not perfect. Check engine light will be on and the vehicle may enter fail safe or limp in mode which will prevent itself from damaging anything else most of the time. Driving for at least no more than 2 or 3 days should be fine.

you'd be better off not driving with it unplugged. Its gonna throw a code and if you can't get it to clear but disconnecting the batthery then you will have to pay for that to be cleared out as well as buying a new MAF. Mine went bad before and threw the code and I couldn't clear it by just discounnecting the battery so I had to go buy a scanner to clear it out. Worked out good b/c now I have the scanner my wife wouldn't let me buy.

OH HELL, YOUR ENGINE IS GOING TO BLOW NOW!!!!

All kidding aside. The code will clear on its own once you plug the MAF in and drive it around a bit. It'll be fine.
