Rearend help please!!!
I have a clunking noise when I leave a stop light fast or accelerate hard. It also happens when I stop( when car shifts down. I read another post on hear and i am wondering if it is my torque arm or bushings or what. I did notice my torque arm was loose and leaking a little fluid around it. I have a brand new drive shaft, no slack in the rear end, brand new trans mount. What could it be.

the wet torque arm is your yoke seal leaking, our rearends tend to clunck alot, I had the same problem when i first bought my car and the torque arm bolts were completely loose, try and see if that is your problem, another problem could be who installed your driveshaft? If they pulled it down without marking anything, they might have installed it out of balance, and it's gonna cost you hell to get rid of the noise.
I still suffer from "cluncks" but they arn't as bad, loud or as frequent as before, I'm gonna soon enough buy a new torque arm, and what not when i do a whole suspension rebob on this thing hopefully when i get my tax check.
