Removing the Front Facia

I was hoping to remove the factory black grille by removing the front facia and I'm looking for some help. The top retaining clips are giving me a hell of a time. Is there a tool out there or a trick to easily removing them and the retaining clips beneath the facia as well?

All you have to do is pull really hard, trust me it will come off. And you will not damage anything, except whatever was holding the grille inside the fascia will now be in there.

If I just rip it off, will it do any damage to the appearence of the grill behind the black one.. the one with the imprinted 'CAMARO'?
