rev limiter?

dont really know if ur car has a rev limiter on it... my 95 i took it up to 135+...
anyway, you can buy a hypertech programmer to remove it, just plug it in and follow the directions.......
BUT why do you want to remove it? unless you are making big power, or forced induction, or cam, you really dont need to rev it over the factory settings............. the stock motor dies after 5,500 rpm anyway

The stock motor makes peak power at 5800 rpm, which means that you can take it to 6k easily.

That does make me curious though, do these cars even have a "speed" limiter in them???
Not that i'll ever hit it, the only way I'll ever hit 150+mph is if i'm clocking in a 8 sec timeslip.

Agree, I like to have my shift points set about 400rpm after peak. So that's about right, but I didn't have mine bumped up yet to try to give teh stock 4L60e a little more life. Although, working on the cam swap right now and shift points will be set at 6,400-6,500; I've already started a RPM Tranny fund...
