I am installing a LS1 lid and a 85mm SLP MAF and it used to work on my Honda, but do any of you guys think by disocnnecting the battery for like 20 minutes will reset the paramiters and maybe take advantage of new componenets?

For the MAF you can disconnect the negative terminal for about 30 mintues. This should reset it. At the same time you can pull the PCM fuse if you want. I've just disconnected the neg terminal and never had any problems.

Instructions from SLP claim to disconnect the positive battery terminal. I don't know what difference it makes, but I had always thought it was best to disconnect the negative terminal. Eric certainly knows more than I do, but in one of my experiences, I just disconnected the negative terminal for a few minutes, and I could tell that it reset the computer, because my car ran different after startup until it relearned.
