Should i do this??? HELP ME OUT
I have SLP headers and SLP loud mouth, im sure everyone knows how loud this is and i do like the set up most of the time but it can get annoying, so i was thinking i have a SLP exhaust sitting in my basement, its an option from the dealer, it looks like the SLP tips but it has a muffler, does anyone know what this is and how good it is, i wanted to take my loud mouth off, that the other SLP exhaust on, take my high flow cats off and then get an electric cut out (so it can be loud and get some hp if i want )
does this sound like a good idea, i could sell my loud mouth and then buy the off road pipes and electric cut out, i think i would end up paying an extra $200 at most, does that sound right?

You could run a "dynomouth" setup instead. Buy a bullit muffler and put it in place of the resonator on your loudmouth. It gets rid of the rasp, and it will still be loud. Do a search for it if you want more info.

Two things:
(1) The Dynomouth sounds great! I rode in a friend's '02 SS with cam, 125 Shot, and a Dynomouth. It was MUCH better sounding that the Loudmouth.
(2) Another friend of mine has a SLP Loudmouth for sale. It's got about 1,500 miles on it $250. Click Me It's in Memphis, TN.

yeah i didnt even think about that, then i might be able to pass emissions with the cats, you can get the electronic cut out at speed inc. near chicago, i think there around $200 but im not sure.
and another thing does anyone know what the SLP option is, i have the sheet that came with the car and it says SlP performance exhaust sytem, like i said earlier its very simialr to the loud mouth tips excpet it has a muffler

I have a 99 SS. I do not have the orignal sheet that came with the car but in the door jam it says i have the SLP exhaust. The system that came on the car is not a dual it is just a different muffler i belive.
