SLP airlid problem

Just put a airlid on my 02 Z and when I drive normal its fine but when I floor it the passenger side clip pops loose on the front. Any quick fixes anyone knows or anything? Oh yes I have the smooth bellow on it as well if that makes a difference.

take the waste of money...i mean the bellows...off and put the stock piece back on.

the bellows doesn't allow enough flex between the engine and the lid.

or you could spend another $50 and put poly motor mounts to keep the engine movement to a bare minimum.

i'd do the stock bellows personally.... you're getting about 0.000000001hp out of that bellows there.

Don't ditch the bellow, you already bought and paid for it so it would be dumb to get rid of it. I had the same problem and found that the bellow wasnt all the way on the bottom of the MAF. Hope it's this easy for you.

Re: SLP airlid problem

Actually, the problem sounds like you don't have the lid lined up right. Most people make the mistake thinking the front part of the lid goes outside of the lower air box. But, it really tucks inside. Keep the bellow. Go back out to your car, loosen the metal straps and push the lid towards the motor. The front edge egde of the lid should tuck in just in front of the filter. Clamp the two front clips down and tighten up the metal straps.

I agree with above. I had the same problem when i put the bellow on and when you slide the lid in the front it holds just fine.

Yes, Adjust the bellows so you have a little more give for the engine to move and you'll be fine.

Re: SLP airlid problem

I had the same problem but both were coming off. Just as stated b/f, push the lid past the front lip. I just wish I knew that b/f I gouged my carbon fibre lid though!
