I called SLP Parts the other day. A fellow named '"Art" told me "the Free Ram Air mod is bad for the LS1". He says too much hot air will get into the motor and this is very bad....... but he then said the Cold Air Induction we have is very good for the LS1. I then told him that you still have to cut out the bottom of the air lid! He said yes and your getting cold pressurized fresh air, not hot......

Art told me to expect 10Hp for the CAI and FRA mod to go with it. How can you guys justify spending $130.00 plus $15.00 shipping-total-$145.00 for 10 HP? Smooth Bellows-$60.00 inclu. shipping for 5HP? That MAF is what $150.00 for 7HP?

How can you guys pay for this?

Finally, is the Free Ram Air mod bad or good and does it make the LSI louder?

Art is an ***. FRA is an "ok", but certantly not a bad one. Any of the "cold air intakes" (SLP CAI, FTRA, ect) are slightly better, but why pay $150 for a few HP

Well of course "Art" is going to say its "bad". He doesnt make any $$$ if he doesnt sell you anything!!

quite honestly.. and i dont care who i know that works there,... most of their tech guys are jackass's with the exception of one or two that i know...
