No . Buy a lid and do a Free ram air mod . Cut as much out of the Plastic pan as you can while being able to maintain a seal . you will feel a difference .
It will be close to the same as FIPK but wont cost as much .

I agree, my car came with FIPK, I would not buy it new for more than twice what a lid costs.

Re: SLP Lid VS FIPK??

Your best bet for performance would be to go with the SLP lid and install one of our FTRA ram air kits. We can bundle the two as a package if you are interested.

If you still want to try the K&N FIPK, we have one left on clearance.

Email us at sales@fasttoys.net if you need more info.

Thanks

What the hell are you talking about ? I dont have a lid . I dont have FRA..I have a ram air and I dont have any bolt ons except my headers and cam yet .
READ MY SIGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ANd if your car was identical mod for mod I would have been more then happy to. But you have heads/gears/deaders/cam and probably a small shot of nitrous. So there wont be any matching up.

2 stock cars with those 2 setups will see similar numbers I dont care what you say.

My car trapped 108 stock ! 109 with a catback
What kind of bolt ons netted you 112 MPH ?

Yes..the lid would . The lid eliminates the baffles and has a more air space . good for at least 10HP

Re: SLP Lid VS FIPK??

Lids are awesome, you will really feel a difference as soon as you install it. Also if you ever wanna do one of the dry nitrous kits you can still install it through the lid. Also I hear the BGRA really adds alot of power on the top end. The K&N to me seems like a waste because it doesn't seal the air flow coming in. No I am not racing anyone because I said that either!
