yes, i can't seem to see why it cost so much. they are more than a set of qtp stainless headers, and i am sure they cost more to make than the catback.

I know its all personal preference, but I agree 100%.

Loudmouth with headers(and no cats) is the worst sounding exhaust set-up I've ever heard(as well as the Borla) on the LS1. Horribly raspy, high-pitched, and very unrefined IMO. It's not the loud part that bothered me('cause it don't lack volume ), but it just sounded like utter crap as a muscle car. An open cutout is also no different...

The GMMG with cats or a "true dual" without 'em are my favorite sounding set-ups for this motor.

Man, what are you talking about.... The ones i have heard have sounded like TIGERS roaring is the best way i can describe it.... And what does sounding 'raspy' mean?

raspy means its raspy, dunno how to explain the sound. i would have to hear it and point it out for ya.

2000ls1z28: i agree with you 100% on that as well.
i think you guys just say you like the lt's + lm combo just because it is loud and have not heard a lot of nice sounding exhaust. i have never hear anyone say that is into cars say they like lt's and lm. most people say what 2000LS1Z28 says. once again that is just some people's opnion.

I have heard MANY exhausts on LS1s, there are about 75 LS1s in our Fbody club (scfyb.com). And ive heard lots of different combos, ive had 3 different catbacks on my car. I cant really say what i like best. But so far loud mouth sounds beter on my car and i really liked it on cars with headers... Thats the one sound that caught my attention... And i heard the Borla, Corsa, flowmaster, hooker, true duals..... The only one i like as much as loud mouth is the GMMG, but i cant pay that much for a catback, its like $750 for that exhaust, its crazy.

gmmg is way to much for what it is. its not our fault they don't sell lots so they have to jack the prices up. bastards
