SLP underdrive pulley

I just received a SLP underdrive pulley that I purchased off of ebay. It did not come with the belt though. Can anyone tell me what belt I need to use with this pulley. It's going on my 2000 Trans am. Thanks.

don't know, bought mine with the pulley (asp though).

you should need the A/C as well which is a shorter belt...

SLP does not make a Pulley for the LS1 as far as I know.
You purchased an LT1 pulley. ASP is the only company that makes a pulley that wont screw up your system.
Go to SLPs website and search for it. Im almost positive that they dont make one for the LS1.

Unhappy

This is the pulley I purchased. I am going to check the SLP website to see if they have one listed. Thanks.

Dukota,

Well the good news is ...Yes it is an LS1 pulley.
The reason I know is because it has two tracs for two belts. An LT1 pulley would only have one trac.
I got to looking at it and it doesent apear to be a stock pulley so I dont think you got swindled.
Maybe it is an ASP pulley and they just didnt know?
There still a small chance that it could be an SLP pulley , but I couldnt find it listed. You may want to give them a call.

I dont mean to scare you , but just want to make sure that you got the right equipment.

Let me know
Mike

SLP used to make a pulley but they stopped because it was messing up people's cars. Go with the ASP.

I contacted the seller and he said SLP used to make pulleys but the have stopped. Can you give me any info on how they "messed up cars"?. He did give me the belt numbers that I need to put it on my car but now I don't know if I am going to if it will mess something up. Any further info would be appreciated.

I don't know much about cars, but I did a lot of research before buying my ASP pulley and from what I understood, a pulley can really mess up the engine. People were saying the only pulley that was safe was the ASP pulley, I also did hear that the SLP pulley was not very good and that is why they took it off the market. I suggest not putting that pulley on your car.

Some users have reported that they get knock retard with any pulley other than ASP. I would be reluctant to buy anything but ASP. They are tried and proven.

It looks like you even paid more than a new ASP.
