Well, I guess some jerk thought it would be cool to run their keys down both sides of my car and now I gotta get it painted. Any ideas on how I could get a whole new paint job out of it? Its black and i'm sure the new paint will be much shinier then the original.

Thats F****D up, did you get a police report? Id talk to your insurance company. I hope you got comprehensive coverage, but when you go to get your est have the auto body shop tell your insurance that the whole car needs to be painted. This would be easier if you had a freind who owned or worked there?

 

I could never bring myself to do it for lots o reasons, but key the other panels. Even if its a little they'll want to repaint them when the do the estimate. Otherwise No Soup for You.

 

I had the same fate happen a few days ago, some loser keyed the drivers side of my car, one line from fender to fender but two witnesses happened to see the person do it and called me because they knew a friend of mine and they all knew of my navy mettalic blue z28. Anyway they described the girl who did it and what car she drove and what apartment she lived in and IT WAS MY GIRLFRIENDS JEALOUS ROOMATE! It drove me nuts, I wanted to go to the police and get her arrested for felony vandalism and obstruction to personal property but my girlfriend is talking me into just letting her pay the $850 to get the side of the car repainted. I want to see her pay! the body shop won't even repaint the rocker panels and stuff just the door and the two fenders that are scratched. Good luck trying to get your whole car painted.

 

Well, doesn't look good. My insurance will repaint the driverside door and both quarters and fade them into the surrounding panels. My only problem is I gotta pay the $500 deductible so I was hoping someone would estimate 500 more so I could avoid it. I'll tell ya, there are just some real *****s out there.

 

This would prolly be more for the lounge and not tech..so im goin to move it.
