Unhappy Someone must know the answer to this easy question

How is the mirror lense held into the mirror housing?? Is it double sided tape? glue?

I have replacements lenses and there are no attachments to them. And the ones that are currently in the mirror housing, you can get a screw driver behind them some and pry on them.

Is this how they come out??

I know a friend of mine whacked his 95Z a few years back on the side mirror and the glass was held in wth adhesive. It's probably the same on the newer cars, but don't hold me to that

just the actual mirror (gl;*** part is held in with adhesive but if any plastic behind it is cracked you need a whole new mirror housingg.

You can just take it to a glass shop and ofr about 25-30 bucks they will glue in a new mirror.

Anyway i belive it is held in with adhesive.
